Integrate Disparate Data Sources like a Palantir Engineer
Jurisdiction: Australian Capital Territory
When working with our customers worldwide, our most successful outcomes come from our ability to make sense out of high degrees of complexity. We think that leveraging our existing toolkits and performing data fusion in your projects will help you better solve the problems of GovHack 2022.
At Palantir, our motto is to build software that empowers organizations to effectively integrate their data, decisions, and operations. For this challenge, we’d like you to:
At Palantir, we’re focused on creating the world’s best user experience for working with data, one that empowers people to ask and answer complex questions without requiring them to master querying languages, statistical modelling, or the command line.
Foundry is one of Palantir’s platforms that reimagines how people use data by removing the barriers between back-end data management and front-end data analysis. It enables users with varying technical ability and deep subject matter expertise to work meaningfully with data. At it’s core, Foundry enables the easy fusion of many sources of data into a single pane of glass with tools such as Contour and Object Explorer.
Blueprint is Palantir’s open-source React-based UI toolkit for the web. It is optimized for building complex data-dense interfaces for desktop applications. Blueprint is the framework used to build our platforms and seeks to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across the platform that sets clear expectations for our users — this helps make our ecosystem predictable and trustworthy.
At all steps along the way this year at GovHack 2022, our engineers are here to help with all things data engineering, using Blueprint, or right through to sharing our stories from the field.
If you are located in the ACT; feel free to swing by, grab a treat and say hello to a few of our engineers on Saturday 20/08/2022 at 14:30PM at the competition venue.
Eligibility: Fuse multiple sources of data into a single pane of glass (such as graphs or pivot tables); and/or leverage the Blueprint UI Toolkit in some or all of your designs and prototypes.
Entry: Challenge entry is available to all teams in Australia.
